M365Clarity · Security Copilot
Microsoft Security Copilot is an AI assistant built on GPT-4 and Microsoft's security intelligence. It's designed to help security teams investigate alerts, summarise incidents, analyse scripts, and draft remediation steps — faster than doing it manually. It integrates with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra, and Purview.
Security Copilot is available as a standalone product (Security Copilot SCUs) or included in Microsoft 365 E5 Security and Microsoft 365 E7 plans. It's not part of standard E3, Business Premium, or Business Basic subscriptions. M365Clarity checks your tenant's licence entitlement so you know whether you're paying for it and whether it's active.
Note: Having the licence doesn't mean Security Copilot is deployed and in use. M365Clarity checks entitlement — not active usage — for this feature.
To get value from Security Copilot, certain baseline controls should be in place first: Conditional Access policies, audit logging, Defender for Endpoint or Defender for Office 365, and appropriate admin roles. M365Clarity checks these prerequisites as part of the Security Copilot tab so you can see your readiness score before deploying it.
If your plan doesn't include Security Copilot, M365Clarity will show this clearly rather than surfacing a wall of unknown checks. The tab explains which plans include it and what you'd gain by upgrading. It's designed to help you make an informed decision rather than leave you guessing.
M365Clarity scans your Microsoft 365 configuration and shows you exactly what's in your plan, what's configured, and what's sitting idle — in plain English.
