Most Microsoft 365 security checks require either PowerShell, deep familiarity with multiple admin portals, or both. You run scripts against the Graph API, export CSV files, cross-reference results across Entra, Defender, and Purview, and produce a report that took half a day to build and will be out of date next week.

What the free plan includes

• Health score and grade — a 0–100 score across all features applicable to your plan, with a letter grade (A through F). Calculated from the percentage of applicable features correctly configured.
• Full tile grid — every feature M365Clarity checks for your plan shown as a tile: green (configured), amber (review needed), red (needs attention). Click any tile for a plain-English description and why it matters.
• AI Executive Summary — a board-ready narrative covering your health score, domain assessment across Exchange, SharePoint, security and audit, top risks with business impact, what's working well, and recommended next steps. Written for a CEO or IT Director, not a technical audience.
• Executive Briefing PDF — a downloadable, print-ready document version of the executive summary. Your organisation's name, grade, and findings. Formatted for sharing in a board meeting or with a senior stakeholder.
• Three scans per day — run a scan, make a configuration change, re-scan to confirm. Resets at midnight UTC.

How the connection works

Connecting your tenant takes approximately 30 seconds. You sign in with your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator account and grant read-only permissions via the standard Microsoft consent screen. M365Clarity receives an access token scoped to the consented permissions. All permissions are delegated read-only — no write permissions, no application (background) permissions. M365Clarity can only see what your account can see.

The executive summary and board briefing

The executive summary is generated by AI from your actual scan results — not a generic template. It references your specific findings, your health score, and your plan type. If your audit logging has a gap, the executive summary will say so. If your MFA configuration is strong, it will say so. The board briefing PDF is a formatted version of the same content, designed to be printed or shared with stakeholders who need to understand your Microsoft 365 security posture without logging into the dashboard.

What's on the Pro plan

The free plan surfaces findings. The Pro plan tells you how to fix them — AI-generated, step-by-step fix guidance for every red and amber finding, specific to your tenant. Pro also includes health score trend over time, scheduled weekly scans with change detection alerts, shareable scan reports, AI chat about your tenant, and a full suite of AI-generated reports (Priority Actions, Adoption Roadmap, Digital Friction analysis, and more).
