Why point-in-time scans aren't enough

A single snapshot of your Microsoft 365 configuration tells you where you are today. Scan history tells you whether things are getting better or worse — and when a specific change happened.

M365Clarity stores every scan result against your tenant. The History tab shows you a chronological list of past scans with the health score, red/amber/green counts, and the date and time each scan was run.

Tracking improvement over time

After you act on Priority Actions, re-scan your tenant and watch your score change. Over weeks and months, the scan history gives you a clear record of the work you've done to improve your Microsoft 365 configuration — useful for internal reporting and client-facing conversations.

Note: Scan history is retained per tenant. If you disconnect and reconnect a tenant, the scan history for the original connection is preserved.

Automated scans

The best way to build a useful scan history is to enable automated weekly scans in Tenant Settings. M365Clarity will scan your tenant on a schedule and send you an email alert if the health score changes significantly or a new red item appears. You get a continuous record without having to remember to manually re-scan.

Comparing scans

The Compare tab lets you pick any two scans from your history and see a side-by-side diff — which features changed status between the two scans. This is particularly useful when you've made configuration changes and want to verify they had the expected effect.

See this in action on your tenant

M365Clarity scans your Microsoft 365 configuration and shows you exactly what's in your plan, what's configured, and what's sitting idle — in plain English.
