Seeing exactly what changed

Configuration drift is one of the most common IT problems. A setting gets changed — intentionally or otherwise — and nobody notices until something breaks or a scan surfaces it. The Compare tab in M365Clarity lets you select any two scans from your history and see a side-by-side diff of every feature that changed status.

This is useful in two scenarios: verifying that a configuration change you made had the expected effect, and investigating unexpected changes that might indicate a misconfiguration or an unintended policy update.

How it works

Select a baseline scan and a comparison scan from your history. M365Clarity shows you every feature where the status changed — from green to amber, amber to red, red to green, or any other transition. Features that stayed the same are filtered out so you only see what's different.

Best practice: Run a scan immediately after making planned configuration changes so you have a clean before/after pair to compare. This makes it easy to verify your changes and document the improvement.

For MSPs managing multiple tenants

Comparison is particularly valuable for MSPs who make configuration changes across multiple client tenants. Scanning before and after a change gives you an audit trail that demonstrates the value of your work — and catches any cases where the change didn't apply as expected.

See this in action on your tenant

M365Clarity scans your Microsoft 365 configuration and shows you exactly what's in your plan, what's configured, and what's sitting idle — in plain English.
